Effective August 15, 2023 for the United States & Canada

This article provides an overview of Otter's bundle packages and pricing breakdown. You will gain the knowledge needed to evaluate the packages, compare costs, and decide which package fits your needs the best.

In order to cater to different customer groups, Otter has created packages to simplify the package selection process. Each package has its own unique features and benefits, allowing you to choose the level of service that suits your needs.

Bundle Packages

Otter Bundles

We use a "Good, Better, Best" approach in our packaging & pricing structure. There are three tiers of packages you can choose from: 

  1. Otter Lite

  2. Otter Standard

  3. Otter Premium

As you move up in tiers, you unlock additional features that enhance the value and comprehensiveness of the package.

Otter Direct Orders Bundles

We also offer Direct Orders packages. These packages offer flexibility for anyone seeking an individualized approach to their online ordering experience; you can choose between: 

  1. Digital Dine-In

  2. Online Ordering

  3. Direct Orders Full Suite

Pricing will change based on the bundle or type of Direct Order package.

Digital dine- In, Online Ordering, and the Direct Orders Full Suite all have a one-time setup fee of $100.

Pricing Breakdown

Payment Options

  1. M2M (Month to Month): This is the classic "Pay-As-You-Go"; you will pay month to month with no time agreements.

  2. Annual Pre-Pay: This is a 1-year agreement paid in full at the beginning.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is there a set-up fee for Lite? Is the set-up fee required?

  • Yes, the set-up fee is required. The set-up fee covers the onboarding labor required to deliver a ready-to-use product for our customers and allows us to offer a low price point for Otter Lite.

Will the set-up fee have to be paid per location onboarded to Otter or per parent account?

  • The one-time set up fee is charged per location.

If I select the annual pre-pay option, can I still change my desired subscription plan during the year?

  • Yes, you can! Please reach out to our Customer Success Team at success@tryotter.com for any subscription plan adjustments.

Would support be able to change/update my subscription?

  • No, Support cannot make these types of account adjustments. Please reach out to our Customer Success Team at success@tryotter.com for assistance.

Is there a cut-off to how many & how much I will pay to add a new Otter virtual brand?

  • Otter Standard and Otter Premium both include 1 Otter Virtual Brand in each package. Each additional Virtual Brand is $30/location – there is no limit or cap.

If I'm currently subscribed to an old bundle package and it expires, will I still be able to get the old bundle package or will I need to transfer to the new pricing structure?

  • We encourage all our existing customers to ask about our new bundles/pricing. You could gain access to more products and features with only a small increase in monthly cost. Please contact our Customer Success Team (success@tryotter.com) to learn more about the new bundles/pricing options.

I’d like to enable 3PL (third-party logistics) for my delivery partners – are there any charges I need to be aware of?

  • Otter LITE customers who want to enable 3PL for delivery partner orders need to pay for the add-on.

    • Customers who purchase Otter Lite + Online Ordering only will have to pay $10 extra to use our 3PL rates for self-delivery on delivery partner orders.

  • Otter STANDARD & PREMIUM customers do not have to pay extra to get access to 3PL; it is included in the bundle plans.

  • Otter Direct Orders & Online Ordering customers may use our 3PL product to fulfill non-delivery partner orders at no additional charge.

If I already pay for POS Integrations for Order Aggregation, do I still need to pay for POS Integrations Direct Orders?

  • Customers with the following Order Aggregation bundle subscriptions do not have to pay additional monthly costs for POS Integrations for their Digital Dine-in and Online Ordering add-ons.

    • Otter Lite + POS Integrations

    • Otter Standard and Otter Premium

I’m an existing customer and I noticed you have new bundle packages available online. Will this impact me?

  • This will not impact existing customers at this time. However, we encourage all our existing customers to ask about our new bundles/pricing. You could gain access to more products and features with only a small increase in monthly cost.
