How to Enable or Disable Dine-In as a Fulfillment Mode [Global]

Overview

Direct Orders allows Merchants to offer dine-in as an option for order fulfillment. Before Merchants can provide this option to customers, it must be enabled. Merchants that do not want to offer dine-in can disable this option. See the table below for instructions on toggling dine-in as a fulfillment mode!


Process

Enable / Disable for All Brands

1 Log into Otter Dashboard  
2 From the Apps menu in the top-left of the screen, go to Direct Orders  
3 On the Your Brands page in Direct Orders, click the Settings button in the top-right of the screen. The Settings button is marked with the word "Settings" and a gear icon. 
4 In the Organization settings for all brands menu, click the Dine-in tab.   
5 Go to the Dine-in Orders section.  This is the first section in the Dine-in tab.
6 Click the Offer dine-in toggle to enable dine-in. Click the toggle again to disable dine-in. You can enable and disable dine-in using the Offer dine-in toggle. 

Enable / Disable for Specific Brands / Stores

1 Log into Otter Dashboard  
2 From the Apps menu in the top-left of the screen, go to Direct Orders  
3 On the Your Brands page, click the View Stores button on the brand you'd like to enable/disable dine-in for.  Each brand has its own View Stores button on this page. 
4 On the selected brand's page, click the Ellipse button directly to the right of the Unpublish button. The Ellipse button is marked with three vertical dots, and is directly to the right of the Unpublish button. 
5 In the Ellipse menu, select Store Settings The Store Settings option is marked with a gear icon. 
6 On the Store Settings page, select the Dine-in tab.  The Dine-in tab is directly to the right of the Delivery tab near the top of this page.
7 Go to the Override dine-in settings section. Click the Override dine-in settings toggle to create unique dine-in settings for this store.  You can disable unique dine-in settings for this store by toggling Override dine-in settings to the "OFF" position.
8 Go to the Dine-in orders section. Click the Offer dine-in toggle to enable or disable dine-in for this brand/store.  The Dine-in orders section is directly below the Override dine-in settings section. 

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Once dine-in has been enabled, can it be disabled at any time?

A: Yes! Simply switch the Offer dine-in toggle to the OFF position to disable this fulfillment mode. 

Q: Does the Override dine-in settings toggle need to be turned on if I want to create unique dine-in settings for each brand/store?

A: Yes! If the Override dine-in settings toggle is not turned on, all brands/stores will have the same dine-in settings as shown in the Organization settings for all brands menu. 

Q: What if my Organization settings for all brands and specific brand/store settings both have dine-in enabled or disabled at the same time?

A: There won't be any issue! The Override dine-in settings toggle for each store/brand doesn't interfere with the Organization settings for all brands toggle.
