How to Activate Open Tabs within Dine-In

Overview

Open Tabs lets customers place Dine-In orders without paying upfront. Before Open Tabs can be used by Eaters, it needs to be activated by Merchants. This article describes how Merchants can enable Open Tabs and let Eaters start using it ASAP. 

Process: How to Enable Open Tabs

By the end of the process outlined below, the user should be able to activate Open Tabs for their restaurant with the Enable open tab toggle.

2 In the Apps menu, select Direct Orders

Go to the Direct Orders Settings. 

This will be in the top-right of the user's Direct Orders page, under the button labelled Settings and marked with a gear icon.

Go to the Organization settings for all brands.

Under the section for Dine-in, go to Open tab.

Toggle Enable open tab to "On". You're done!
