How to Enable or Disable Pickup as a Fulfillment Mode

Overview

Direct Orders allows Merchants to offer pickup as an option for order fulfillment. Before Merchants can provide this option to customers, it must be enabled. Merchants that do not want to offer pickup can disable this option. See the table below for instructions on toggling pickup as a fulfillment mode!

All Brands / Stores

1 Log into Otter Dashboard.  
2 From the Apps menu in the top-left of the screen, go to Direct Orders  
3 On the Your Brands page in Direct Orders, click the Settings button in the top-right of the screen. The Settings button is marked with the word "Settings" and a gear icon. 
4 In the Organization settings for all brands menu, click the Pickup tab.   
5 Go to the Pickup Orders section.  This is the first section in the Pickup tab.
6 Click the Offer pickup toggle to enable pickup. Click the toggle again to disable pickup. You can enable and disable pickup using the Offer pickup toggle.

1 Log into Otter Dashboard  
2 From the Apps menu in the top-left of the screen, go to Direct Orders  
3 On the Your Brands page, click the View Stores button on the brand you'd like to enable/disable pickup for.  Each brand has its own View Stores button on this page. 
4 On the selected brand's page, click the Ellipse button directly to the right of the Unpublish button. The Ellipse button is marked with three vertical dots, and is directly to the right of the Unpublish button. 
5 In the Ellipse menu, select Store Settings The Store Settings option is marked with a gear icon. 
6 On the Store Settings page, select the Pickup tab.  The Pickup tab is between the Payment and Delivery tabs near the top of this page.
7 Go to the Override pickup settings section. Click the Override pickup settings toggle to create unique pickup settings for this store.  You can disable unique pickup settings for this store by toggling Override pickup settings to the "OFF" position.
8 Go to the Pickup orders section. Click the Offer pickup toggle to enable or disable pickup for this brand/store.  The Pickup orders section is directly below the Override pickup settings section. 

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Once pickup has been enabled, can it be disabled at any time?

A: Yes! Simply switch the Offer pickup toggle to the OFF position to disable this fulfillment mode. 

Q: Does the Override pickup settings toggle need to be turned on if I want to create unique pickup settings for each brand/store?

A: Yes! If the Override pickup settings toggle is not turned on, all brands/stores will have the same pickup settings as shown in the Organization settings for all brands menu. 

Q: What if my Organization settings for all brands and specific brand/store settings both have pickup enabled or disabled at the same time?

A: There won't be any issue! The Override pickup settings toggle for each store/brand doesn't interfere with the Organization settings for all brands toggle.
