How to Set Minimum Basket Sizes

Overview

  • Direct Orders allows Merchants to set a minimum basket size or minimum order amount for each specific fulfillment mode.

  • A minimum basket size or minimum order amount is the lowest dollar amount needed for an Eater to place an order via a Direct Orders website or QR code.

  • With this feature, Merchants will be able to set minimum basket sizes for Dine-in, Pick-up and Delivery fulfillment modes separately from one another.

Process

All brands/stores

  1. Log into The Otter Dashboard
  2. From the Apps menu in the top-left of the screen, go to Direct Orders.
  3. On the Your Brands page in Direct Orders, click the Settings button in the top-right of the screen.
    1. The Settings button is marked with the word "Settings" and a gear icon.
  4. In the Organization settings for all brands menu, click the fulfillment mode you would like to edit.
  5. Scroll down to the “Fees” section.
  6. Set a specific Minimum Order Amount.

Specific brands/stores

  1. Log into The Otter Dashboard
  2. From the Apps menu in the top-left of the screen, go to Direct Orders.
  3. On the Your Brands page in Direct Orders, click the View stores button on the store you'd like to edit
    1. Each brand has its own View Stores button on this page. 
  4. Click on the store’s settings button. 
    1. The Settings button is marked with the word "Settings”. 
  5. Select the fulfillment mode you would like to edit.  
  6. Toggle the override settings to ‘ON’
  7. Scroll down to the “Fees” section.
  8. Set a specific Minimum Order Amount.
