Summary

This feature allows customers to disable the ability for eaters to add special order instructions for menu items when ordering. 

Supported channels

The following channels are supported:

  • Direct Orders
  • UberEats API 

Unsupported channels will be noted under the toggle with a note such as “Changing this setting is not supported by DoorDash.”

1. How do I enable/disable special instructions?

    a. Select the desired menu in Otter Menus

    b. Click the Settings ⚙️ icon

    c. Toggle On/Off Disable Special Instructions

2. Do I need to publish the menu after changing the setting?

    a. Yes, you need to publish the menu after enabling/disabling special instructions.

3. Does enabling/disabling special instructions impact all my channels and locations?

    a. Enabling/disabling will impact all of the supported channels for the assigned locations. You can              edit which locations the menu is linked to in the same Menu Settings section.
