Currently, there is reporting in the Otter Dashboard, but that is mainly geared towards managers and restaurant owners. There is no reporting that the restaurant staff can easily view to see how their day is going.


Direct Orders: Tip Reporting helps improve this by providing merchants and staff with a view of an aggregated tip report for their D2C dine-in orders directly in Order Manager web or the Order Manager App!


Tip Aggregation Overview

Features Include:

  • Ability to view tips added per table.
  • Ability to view the timeline of received tips per table.
  • Ability to view the total sum of tips within the selected timeframe.

Dine-in tip card description

  • Located on the main Reports page in Order Manager web.
  • Located within the Analytics Applet in the new Order Manager app.
  • Merchants can see up to six rows of tips.
  • When merchants create D2C dine-in orders, the table names they input will appear on the first column.
  • Clicking “View more” takes them to the full-screen Dine-in tip page.


Full-screen dine-in tip page

  • Full screen dine-in tip page shows all table information within the applied date filter.
  • Merchants can also apply a specific time frame using the time range component next to the date filter.
  • Clicking each row takes merchants to the detailed table modal.
  • Paid amount means the amount for which eaters pay.

Detailed table modal

  • In the detailed table modal, merchants can see the times of individual dine-in orders paid and tip amounts.
  • If the merchant has applied a time range, that filter will also be applied within the detailed table modal.


Frequently Asked Questions

  • I made a mistake when creating a table and I need to edit the table number. What should I do?
    • You can edit the table number only if the table has not been closed.

Things to Note

If the system doesn’t have any prior tip value to compare, it’ll show 0% below the tip values. image-20240104-085318.png
If the merchant doesn’t input the table name when creating the dine-in order, the related table name will have a hyphen. image-20240104-085335.png
