End of Day Reporting

This article will guide you through viewing and printing your end-of-day reporting data from both the Otter App and Otter Dashboard.

By following these simple steps, you can easily access and analyze your POS sales, payments, and channel sales data to make informed business decisions.

End-of-day reporting can be found in two places:

  • Otter App (POS Terminal): The report is titled "Store Performance"
  • Otter Dashboard: The report is titled "Sales Summary"
NoteThe Otter App (POS Terminal) is the recommended way to view and print the report.

 


 

End of Day Report

The End of Day Report can be located and printed out within the Otter app (POS terminal). The printed report includes the Store Performance details for sales, payments, and channel sales for the specified day.

You can also use the enhanced date picker to select a specific timeframe for your End of Day report. This allows you to easily access and view historical End of Day reports.

  • The Sales tab includes a breakdown of POS order sales, discounts, Loyalty, refunds & adjustments, tips, deposit details, and more.
    Tips currently include delivery partner tips not meant for the restaurant.

Accessing the End of Day Report

Follow the steps below to view and print out the End of Day Report from the POS terminal.

 


 

Sales Summary

The Sales Summary is a daily transaction summary across all channels that can be found in the Financials app within the Otter Dashboard.

This report contains a summary of Net Sales, Orders, Refunds & Adjustments, and Tips and a detailed list of Sales by Channel, Day, and Location. You can also utilize the filter options at the top of the page to view historical data.

The transaction data on the Sales Summary is delayed by approximately 10 minutes.

 


 

FAQs

  • The End of Day Report (Store Performance) in the Otter App is updated in real-time. There are some rare situations where it may take up to 5 minutes for an order to appear. 

    The Sales Summary transaction data in the Otter Dashboard is delayed by approximately 10 minutes.
  • The End of Day Report is an ad-hoc DAILY report, so it will show all data for that day (post-midnight) up to the point at which you launch the report.

    The data will be inclusive of all order information for the location that the device is paired to - it is not specific to the device/terminal the report was created on.
