Menu Photo Troubleshooting

Overview

When publishing a menu to online ordering platforms, different platforms may have menu photo requirements.

In order to publish your menu photos, any photo issue flagged must be resolved before using that photo for the corresponding platform.

 

Commonly integrated delivery platform menu photo size requirements:

Platform Photo Sizing
Postmates 1500 x 900 pixels
Uber Eats 2880 x 2304 pixels
DoorDash 1400 x 800 pixels
Grubhub 866 x 258 pixels

 


 

Resolving Photo Issues

To resolve a photo sizing requirement issue, there are a few different options:

  • Enable Auto Photo Enhancement
  • Replace Image
  • Manually resize photo

Learn more about each option below.

  • Within the Menu Settings, there is an option to enable the Automatic Photo Enhancement feature. This feature also helps to reduce delivery platform photo issues such as non-compliant or blurry photos by upsizing the item photos to meet the requirements.

  • Delete the currently flagged image and get a higher resolution photo to upload to use. If that is not possible, enabling Auto Photo Enhancement or manually resizing the image file might be a better option to resolve the issue.
  • If you’re unable to get a higher resolution photo, you can try manually increasing the size of the image file on your computer or laptop.

    Follow the steps below to resize the image file:

    1 Open the image on your device.
    Open Image
    2 Select Tools > Adjust Size (or Resize) from the top of your screen.

    Manually enter pixel size to meet sizing requirements needed.

    Click [OK].

    4 Try re-uploading the updated photo for your menu in the Otter Dashboard.

FAQs

  • Yes— If an image is auto resized and you’d like to revert the image back to its original size, just click the [Revert to original] button.

  • Yes— Images must be at least 1400 x 800px and in either PNG or JPEG file format to manually upload.
