Otter POS Employee Performance

Overview

Otter POS users can now view an employee performance report on the Otter App homepage. 

Gives employees the ability to see an overview of their sales and tip earnings for their daily shift— allowing users to access information to stay accountable for their transactions.

Under Your Performance, you can track the following Otter POS metrics: 

  • Total orders
  • Gross sales
  • Net sales
  • Total tips

This performance report only shows data for Otter POS orders. This does not include orders from delivery partner platforms (like DoorDash or Uber Eats).

The Performance report shows daily data for the current user signed into that POS terminal. The data collected for this report will reset daily at 12 AM corresponding with the local time zone where the POS is located.

 


 

Viewing Employee Performance

Follow the steps below to view your Otter POS performance and learn more about your daily transactions.

 


 

Performance Insights

Check out what information is being highlighted in the Your Performance report and how it helps understand your overall daily performance.

  • Orders data:

    The number of orders processed on that specific POS terminal by the employee currently signed in.

    Orders Your Performance

  • Gross sales data:

    The sum of the order subtotal and restaurant service charges (excluding gift card sales) before taxes and tip for all paid orders on that given day processed by the employee currently signed in.

    Gross Sales Your Performance

  • Net sales data:

    Estimated sales after discounts and adjustments (based on the day the order was placed) for daily orders processed on that device by the employee currently signed in.

  • Total tips data:

    Keeps cashiers informed about their personal daily tip earnings. This data is user specific and will display the tips earned for the user that is currently pinned into that device.
InfoOrder Data Assignment
If an order is initiated by Cashier A, but then Cashier B takes payment to complete the order— the order data will be reflected on Your Performance for Cashier A.

 


 

FAQs

  • No— Your Performance will only show data based on orders processed on that Otter POS device for the user currently pinned in.
  • No— Your Performance report will show for all Otter POS subscriptions.
  • No— Your Performance report will only show real-time data for users signed into that device for that day. Currently, you can’t look at a historical view of Your Performance.
