Overview
The Sales Summary shows daily transaction data across all channels. Although this report will default to show data for “Today,” it can be filtered to also view historical data.
From the Sales Summary, you can see information like:
- Net sales
- Order details
- Refunds/Adjustments
- Tips
- Expected deposit
You’ll be able to view data per channel, day, location, and brand.
This report can be used by managers or accountants to do daily reconciliation of sales— Since it has data based on processed cash and payout deposits.
Sales summary data is based on the day you earn that sale and will show in normalized time.
Example:
If a restaurant is open until 2am, the sales summary page splits sales into two different days— sales before midnight will calculate as today sales, and sales after midnight will calculate as next day sales.
