Overview
The Sales Summary shows daily transaction data across all channels. Although this report will default to show data for “Today,” it can be filtered to also view historical data. You’ll be able to view data per channel, day, location, and brand. This report can be used by managers or accountants to do daily reconciliation of sales— Since it has data based on processed cash and payout deposits.
From the Sales Summary, you can see information like:
- Net sales
- Order details
- Refunds/Adjustments
- Tips
- Expected deposit
The Sales Summary also includes a Comparison Tool for evaluating performance across different time periods, offering additional reporting for more in-depth analysis.
Sales summary data is based on the day you earn that sale and will show in normalized time.
Example:
If a restaurant is open until 2am, the sales summary page splits sales into two different days— sales before midnight will calculate as today sales, and sales after midnight will calculate as next day sales.

Data is delayed by about 10 minutes. For the table you’re viewing, you can see when the data was last refreshed in the bottom right corner.
- Discrepancies can occur for several reasons:
• Data Delays: Delivery partner data may take 24–36 hours to update in Otter Dashboard due to settlements or adjustments made by the delivery service or eater. Due to this delay, Sales Summary should not be compared to live daily sales.
• Login Issues: If delivery partner login credentials have changed, data may not import correctly into Otter Dashboard. Ensure the correct login is being used to connect your delivery partner account to Otter.
• Disconnected stores: Some stores may not be fully connected to their delivery partners. Check the Integrations tab to confirm all stores are properly connected.
If discrepancies continue, please contact Support and include:
• Store name and brand name
• Store address
• Delivery partner login information (including Uber Eats PIN, if applicable)
