Wix Online Ordering Integration Guide

Overview

The Otter x Wix integration pushes orders placed by eaters on your custom direct orders website (created through Wix) to flow into Otter. This allows you to manage menus, orders, and operating hours in one centralized place using Otter.

The following order fulfillment modes are available with this integration:

  • Delivery
  • Pickup

Once Wix has been integrated with Otter, orders placed on the Wix storefront will flow through to Otter’s Order Manager. Otter recommends to have DoorDash Drive integrated with Otter so that the customer has direct visibility into their order & financial data.

Setting Up Wix Online Ordering with Otter:

Existing Wix Online Ordering customers are able to set up the Otter x Wix integration for no additional cost. To sign up for this integration, work with your Otter Onboarding Specialist to complete the following steps:

  • Reach out to your designated Onboarding Specialist to add Wix Online Ordering product to your Otter subscription.
  • Provide your Onboarding Specialist with your unique Wix location ID.
  • Complete the DoorDash Drive setup process for delivery orders.
  • Your Onboarding Specialist will setup the integration and train your team how to use and maintain the platform.

FAQs

  • Reporting for Wix order will show in the Otter Dashboard Sales Summary. However, if there are order adjustments or discrepancies— that data may not reflect. For reporting on Wix orders, refer to Wix platform reporting dashboard.
  • There is currently no additional cost for the Otter x Wix integration.
  • The Wix integration allows users to manage orders, menus and storefronts. To utilize other Otter products, the corresponding feature must be added or included in your Otter subscription.
  • Please note that for this integration that nested modifiers are not supported on the Wix side. When publishing a menu for this integration, you should remove any nested modifiers create additional modifier groups as a workaround to avoid a publish error.
