Server Check Assignment

Overview

Server Assignment allows orders/checks to be assigned to a specific server (staff member) in the Otter POS or tablet.

The server assigned to that check will be displayed throughout that order’s journey and will be tracked with any changes made for accountability.

Server Assignment can help:

  • Track order ownership
  • Maintain audits for order handling
  • Support tip distribution
  • Performance tracking
  • Clear order re-assignments

Assigning Server

When an order is rung in, the user pinned into the POS or tablet will automatically be assigned to that check.

The name of the server assigned to that order will display at the top while ringing in the order.

After the order has been saved or rung in, the assigned server will show in the order feed and details.

Reassign Server

After the initial server is assigned to an order, you can reassign that order to another server.
