The DoorDash upgrade provides better functionality between Otter and DoorDash. This article will teach you about the eligibility and action requirements for a successful integration.

What to Expect After the Upgrading

  • 🤝 Better functionality between Otter and DoorDash. 40% increase in speed of order imports to Otter and reduced likelihood of order errors or technical issues.
  • 📃 Use Otter Menu Management to manage your DoorDash menu(s). No need to manage menu updates from multiple places.
  • 🔔 Orders will cancel after 3-4 minutes. This protects your customers’ experience, and Otter auto-accept will always hit the mark.

Prepare to Upgrade

Requirements Actions Required
1. Have a valid, active DoorDash store ID
  • Please make sure that you have finished signing up with Doordash in order to connect your Doordash store with Otter.


2. Store must have a valid menu on file with Doordash or Otter.
  • Menu cannot be empty or have empty items.
    • You can check this article to learn on how to create menu with Otter.
3. Store must have valid menu hours on file with Doordash or Otter.
  • In order for your menu to qualify for DoorDash, it must be open for a minimum of 30 minutes per week. You have the option to adjust your storefront's operating hours at a later date if needed.

Upgrade Successful

  • Successful upgrade to the enhanced DoorDash ↔︎ Otter Integration
NOTE: DoorDash Menu Maker is no longer available. Otter is the new source of truth for your DoorDash menu. Otter’s Menu Management has replaced the DoorDash Menu Maker.

Actions Required:

  1. Review your menu(s). Make sure pricing, items, and hours look accurate in the DoorDash Marketplace. If there are issues, you can makes changes under the Menu tab in Otter and publish these changes to DoorDash..
  2. Turn on auto-accept for DoorDash. This can be found in Otter Order Manager.
    • Auto-Accept is the recommended approach to ensure that your store never misses an order. Alternatively, you can manually accept orders within 3 to 4 minutes of receiving them.
