Eligibility Criteria

  • You have NOT recently published a menu from Otter to DoorDash
NOTE: DoorDash will remove menu editing from your Merchant Portal on a date specified in an email you’ve received from our support team. After that date, all your DoorDash menu edits can only be made using the Otter Menu Management tools. Actions Required

For a seamless transition, please complete the following steps:

  1. Stay informed. Pay attention to emails and in-app messaging, where we’ll send updates to your upgrade schedule.
  2. Publish your menu(s). We noticed that you haven’t published a menu from Otter to DoorDash recently. Please publish your menu from Otter to DoorDash to signify that you’re ready to go! Learn how to publish your menu here.
  3. Review your menu(s). Make sure ALL your pricing, items, and hours under the Menu tab in Otter are accurate for DoorDash. You may instead import your entire DoorDash menu to Otter under the Menu tab in your Otter dashboard. 
  4. Consider using auto-accept. To ensure a positive customer experience, DoorDash sets a 3-minute limit for acceptance. If you plan to manually accept every order, be sure to accept quickly or the order will be canceled. Learn more about auto-accept versus manual-accept here.

What to Expect After the Upgrading

  • Better functionality between Otter and DoorDash. 40% increase in speed of order imports to Otter and reduced likelihood of order errors or technical issues.
  • Use Otter Menu Management to manage your DoorDash menu(s). No need to manage menu updates from multiple places.
  • Orders will cancel after 3-4 minutes. This protects your customers’ experience, and Otter auto-accept will always hit the mark.
  • Previous item-level reviews will be unavailable. Your new menu will begin accumulating information and old reviews will be removed.
