Orders Settings in Order Manager

Overview

At Otter, we want to make your order management easy and personalized just for you. With our Orders Settings feature, you can customize how you clear orders from the order feed based on fulfillment mode (online orders, drive-thru, & dine-in) and choose whether you would like third-party delivery couriers automatically or manually assigned to delivery orders.

For example, you can decide when orders should be moved to the "Completed orders" list. Simply choose whether you want orders to be cleared after they're marked as ready or handed off. It's all about giving you control and making your experience with us as smooth as possible.

 


 

Orders Settings Configuration

Follow the steps below to configure your preferred actions to clear orders from the order feed and select how couriers are assigned to delivery orders. Order Settings can be accessed through your device (Order Manager).

1 Go to [Settings].

2 Select [Orders] in the left-side menu.

3 Under the [Action required] section, configure the action required to move an order to the "Completed orders" list based on fulfillment mode (online order, drive-thru, & dine-in).

4 Under the [Couriers & Logistics] section, configure how you want to assign third-party delivery providers to orders.
  • Automatic: Our system will automatically assign couriers to orders as they are accepted.
  • Manual: You will need to manually assign a courier to all of your orders.

FAQs / Troubleshooting

Why are some orders for a specific fulfillment mode (ex Dine In) not appearing on the Active Order tab?

Change the "Dine-In" orders from "Pay" to "Pay -> Handoff" under Otter app settings > Orders > Dine In Options. 

This feature decides at what point an order is considered "complete". If it is set that "pay" is what marks an order complete, then it will never sit in the active order tab.
