As we explore more advanced setups, we have noticed challenges with printer setup, especially in situations with multiple devices/printers. To tackle these issues and make things easier for you, we are adding a feature to let you configure printer settings directly in the Otter app. This change is all about scalability and giving you more control.

Printer list

On the Settings page, you will find the Printer List under the Hardware tab. This list shows all printers connected to your current device's location. Each printer entry includes the printer name, the type of tickets it prints, and its status (online or offline).

For online printers, there are two variations:

1. Connected to this device: The printer is currently connected to this device.
2. Online: The printer is currently connected to another device.

Printer, receipts and stations details

Clicking on a printer in the list opens up its details page. Let's explore each detail.

You can edit the printer name by clicking the pencil button.

Station ticket

Shows which stations the printer is connected to. The printer will only print tickets for items from those stations.

In the above example, the printer is connected to the “Burger” station. In this case:

1. If an order doesn’t contain any “Burger” station items, then this printer will not print any station ticket.

2. If an order contains any items from the "Burger" station, this printer will only print those "Burger" station items. It won't print items from other stations in the order.

By clicking on "Station ticket", you will be able to:

1. Choose whether to print station tickets and set the number of copies.

2. Associate the printer to specific stations by activating them.
