Auto vs Manual Order Accept

Overview

For new and incoming orders, you can choose to manually accept orders or enable auto-accept. Order Accept setting can be adjusted from your Otter tablet or Web Order Manager.

  • Auto-Accept: All incoming orders are automatically accepted. Orders will follow the prep time set for that platform once accepted.
  • Manual Accept: All incoming orders will need to be manually accepted or declined. A pop-up notification will appear on your Otter device when a new order is placed— it will not be actioned until it is manually accepted or declined.

Auto-accept or manual accept can be set per channel.

Example: You want to set auto-accept for direct website orders, but want to review and manually accept or decline orders from delivery platforms (like DoorDash or Uber Eats).

Accepting an Order

  • Manual Accept

When manual order accept is set for a channel, a notification will pop-up for all new orders. The order will need to be manually accepted or declined.

You can expand the notification to view more order details (like items ordered).

  • Auto Accept

When auto-accept is set for channel, all orders for that channel will automatically be accepted.

There will not be a notification pop-up for new orders— orders will show in your Active or Scheduled (if applicable) order feed.
