Adjusting Delivery Platform Live Orders on Otter

Overview

We are actively working with Food Delivery Companies to implement live-order adjustments. Listed below are the Food Delivery Companies that we support live-order adjustments and the others we are actively working on. If we do not currently support live-order adjustments for the specific Food Delivery Company that is processing the food order, we recommend reaching out to the Food Delivery Company directly. If you would like to cancel an order, you may do so through your Order Manager tablet. To understand more about how order cancellations work, please click here.

 

Supported Delivery Platforms

UberEats

You can change and delete any item from an in-flight order directly from Otter Order Manager. Please note that Uber Eats does not allow a user to increase the quantity of an item.

  1. Click the Uber Eats order.
  2. Scroll down and select ‘Adjust Order’
  3. Select the item you’d like to adjust and decrease the quantity or remove the item from the order entirely. The order total will also be adjusted accordingly.
  4. After the adjustment has been made, you can see a summary when reopening the order.

Please note that Uber Eats does not allow increasing the quantity of an item.

DoorDash

Supported! This feature is only available in the Otter App (Native). Customers using the Order Manager on the web (Web OM) who would like to access the Order Adjustment feature will need to contact Otter Support to have it added. 

You can make any necessary adjustments to a DoorDash order by launching your DoorDash portal within Otter POS or the Order App. 
 

From there, you can:

Dasher Management

  • Call Dasher
  • Rate/Block Dasher
  • Track Dasher

Order Management

  • Refund/Substitute Items (greyed out is fine, as we saw on your screen earlier)
  • Adjust Prep Times
  • Mark Order Ready for Pickup

Customer Management

  • Call Customer

Steps to adjust a live order within Otter POS or Order Manager:

1 From your Order list, select the DoorDash order to edit.

2 Tap the 3 dots, then select Manage via DoorDash.

3 The DoorDash portal will be launched within your Otter device to make adjustments.

4 Once adjustments have been made, click the X in the right hand corner to exit portal.

If you do not see the option to Mange Via DoorDash, contact 855-973-1040 to make adjustments.
