Overview
Keeping your menu accurate across every ordering channel is key to avoiding confusion, incorrect orders, and unnecessary refunds. While 86’ing an item is useful for temporarily marking something as unavailable on all channels, channel availability is designed for long-term control over where items appear across different channels.
Channel availability allows you to:
- Maintain a single, streamlined menu while customizing what’s offered across different platforms
Example: if an item doesn’t travel well, you can make it available for in-store ordering or direct orders, while keeping it hidden from third-party delivery apps. - Carefully manage items that used as a modifier
- Prevent unintended availability issues
- Quickly update channel availability
Viewing Channel Availability
See which channels a specific item, category, modifier group, or your entire menu is available on at a glance. This makes it easy to quickly understand where something is offered—such as whether an item appears on Uber Eats.
Each item on your menu includes channel availability settings that determine whether it can be published on specific ordering platforms. When you mark an item as unavailable on a channel, it means that item will never appear there—not just temporarily.
Follow the steps below to view channel availability for menu items.
- Click the Items tab (or Categories, Menus, Modifier Groups)
- View the Channels column to see channels displayed
- Hover over the channel logos for an item to view more information— like Enabled or Disabled
