Why does my tablet keep timing out?
Tablets can have battery-saving features to put the device to sleep when it's inactive. These features may prevent your tablet from playing a notification sound for incoming orders, which can disrupt the restaurant operations or create printing delays.
To prevent any disruptions, please make sure that your tablet is always plugged into the power outlet and follow the steps for your device to disable its battery optimization feature.

How do I restart my tablet?
If your tablet is running slow, freezing, not showing orders correctly (even though everything else is set up), or having trouble connecting to other hardware, a quick restart can often fix the issue. This guide will walk you through the steps to safely restart your tablet
Step Process Image 1 Please Press and hold the Power button (right edge) until the 'Power off' prompt appears on the screen.
If this does not work, go to Step 2.
If it works, go to Step 3.
2 Simultaneously press and hold the Volume Down button (right edge) and the Power button (right edge) until the screen goes black (approx. 15 seconds), then release.
Allow several seconds for the reboot process to complete.
3 Tap Restart. 4 To confirm, tap Restart.
Note: If the device won't power back on, partially charge the device, then retry.
Troubleshooting
- When the tablet does not charge at all or takes a while to charge up, we recommend trying a different charger— Tablets use a USB-C charger— to check if it's just a faulty charger issue and not an issue with the tablet itself.
If the time displayed on your tickets is different from the timezone of your store’s location, the timezone selected for your device may need to be adjusted.
If using an Otter tablet or POS, follow the instructions below:Step Process Image 1 From the device home screen, select Settings. 2 Select General Management. 3 Go to Date and Time. 4 Check that the listed timezone is correct.
If not, tap to select the correct timezone.
