Overview
Uber Eats x Otter integration takes all orders made through the Uber Eats delivery-app and sends them to a single Otter device for more efficient operation.
Integrating Uber Eats with your Otter account, you're able to:
- Easily manage orders from different platforms
- See a single view of your order queue from all platforms
- Connect to delivery drivers
- Manage and publish your menu(s) for multiple channels in one place
Keep in mind, when creating or publishing a menu to Uber Eats— there is a maximum price limit that can be set for a single menu item. For more information on that, check out Uber Eats' site or reach out to their support directly.
Connecting Uber Eats to Otter
Connecting your Uber Eats account to Otter requires two steps:
- Connecting your integration within the Otter Dashboard
- Activating your integration via Chatbot or Otter Dashboard
Connecting your Integration
Follow the steps below to connect your merchant Uber Eats account to your Otter account.

Step Process Image 1 From the Otter Dashboard, select Profile > Settings. 2 Select Integrations > Explore from the side menu.
Use the search bar to find “Uber Eats”.
3 Click [Connect]. 4 Click [Authorize] to progress with integration. 5 Log into your Uber Eats account using sign in credentials or single sign on (like Google or Apple). 6 Click [Allow] to confirm integration with Otter. 7 Confirm brands to connect with Uber Eats.
Click [Continue].
8 Confirm locations to connect with Uber Eats.
Click [Add x Locations].
9 Click [Done].
Wait for the connection to finish.
10 Once connected, be sure to:
Follow prompts to create a menu and/or publish your menu to the delivery platform.
Note: When publishing your menu, make sure to check Uber Eats for desired locations to ensure your menu is published for that platform.
Activating your Integration
Once you are ready to use Otter as your Order manager, follow one of the methods below to activate your Uber Eats integration. Before proceeding, ensure your Otter device (tablet or POS) is fully set up and ready to manage orders. Activating your integration means that Otter will now be your primary Order manager.

You can also activate your DoorDash integration from this page. Learn more on getting your DoorDash integration set up here4 An alert will appear confirming that Otter will become the primary order manager for Uber Eats & connection to any other order aggregation services could be lost.
Click [Confirm].
5 You will receive a confirmation once the location(s) selected have been activated.
To activate another location or connect a different integration, click the Next button.
Activation error:
If an error message appears at this step flagging there was an issue, reach out to your assigned Otter account manager to assist with the integration activation.Step Process Image 1 Open Otter Support Chat Bot (Otter Assistant) in an Otter device or the Otter Dashboard.
Type in the chat requesting to check the status or activate UberEats API.
Example: “Please help me activate my UberEats integration.”
2 The chat bot will check for the store information— All restaurant locations available with the UE admin credentials provided will show.
Click [Activate] for Uber Eats.
3 Available locations to activate will appear underneath the Activate button. 4 Select the location(s) that need to be activated.
Click [Activate].
5 An alert will appear confirming that Otter will become the primary order manager for Uber Eats & connection to any other order aggregation services could be lost.
Click [Confirm].
6 The chat bot will confirm once the location(s) selected have been activated.
To activate another location or connect a different integration, click the [Activate Other Locations] button.
Activation Error:
If an error message appears at this step flagging there was an issue, reach out to your assigned Otter account manager to assist with the integration activation.
If you've previously connected Uber Eats to Otter and are now having an issue related to your Uber Eats connection, try removing the SSO (single sign on or social sign on) for your Uber Eats account.
Follow the steps below for Reconnecting Uber Eats to Otter.
Troubleshooting

If you're having trouble resolving an issue alert in the Otter Dashboard for your Uber Eats connection, try removing the SSO (single sign on or social sign ins) for your Uber Eats account.
This will allow sign in using only your phone number/email and password and is necessary to reconnect your Uber Eats to your Otter account.
Follow the steps below to remove SSO for your Uber Eats account.-

Log into your Uber Eats Restaurant Manager account using current credentials.

Click the menu (=).
Select Manage Account. -
Step 3
Select the Security tab. -
Step 4
Scroll to Connected social apps section.
Follow the prompts to remove or disable these linked accounts for sign in.
Confirm changes.

After attempting to publish a menu, if there are any issues— Otter will alert you to the failed publishing event, what issue caused the failure, and the corresponding location/platform.
These alerts will show as a red banner after a failed publishing attempt (shown below).To resolve these errors, just click [View issues] and follow the prompt shown.

FAQs
- If you’d like to disconnect your integration with Uber Eats, reach out to the Otter Support team for help.
- No— updating your Uber Eats password will not affect your integration with Otter.
- To activate having utensil options print on the customer ticket, simply log in to your Uber Eats Merchant Portal and enable the option. Once enabled, the "utensils" option will automatically appear in the "Customer Note" section of the customer ticket.
