The Doordash self-serve onboarding feature can seamlessly connect your Doordash Merchant account with Otter. This guide will assist you in integrating your accounts and enhancing your online ordering process.

Please Note: This process is exclusive to the US, Canada, and Australia.

  • ⌚ Real-Time Order Management: With the integration of your Doordash account with Otter, you can manage orders in real-time, ensuring that your customers receive their food promptly.
  • 📝 Detailed Reporting: By connecting your accounts, you will have access to detailed reporting on order volume, revenue, and customer feedback, allowing you to make informed business decisions.

Reminders:

  • When your Doordash account becomes “active” with Otter, you will lose the following access:
  • When you go live on the DoorDash integration, DoorDash Orders will only flow into Otter’s Order Manager. This means you will no longer have the ability to accept orders via the DoorDash tablet.
  • Once live, you will only be able to accept orders from Otter’s Order Manager.

Log into your Otter Business Manager.

Select the Setup button from the top right bar.

  • Alternatively, you can launch the Order application from the Apps menu from the top left bar

If the option appears to select either an Existing or New account:

  • In the Connect DoorDash window, select "Connect New Account"

  • Then click Authorize

A new pop-up OAuth window will appear. Ensure you do not have your pop-up blocker enabled.

  • Enter your Business Admin or Business Group Admin merchant portal email credential

  • Click Continue to Log In

Enter your Business Admin or Business Group Admin merchant portal password

  • Click Log In

A pop up message will appear to enter the 2FA code and click Submit.

  • The 2FA code is sent to your registered email address connected to your Doordash Merchant account.

Use the check boxes to indicate which store(s) you are attempting to onboard to DoorDash.

  • Only check the stores intended for migration.
  • Click Add locations.

Once the process is complete, you can click Done.

If you want to import your Doordash menu with Otter. Simply click on "Create Menu".

  • Alternatively, launch the Menu application from the Apps menu from the top left bar.

For the Express setup, select Continue.

  • Alternatively, continue the Menu application by selecting Menus app

Select the store from the drop-down menu

  • Click Continue.

DOORDASH QUALITY ASSURANCE CHECKS

At this point, DoorDash will perform their quality assurance (QA) checks for the onboarding store(s) and their respective menu(s). During the menu checks, DoorDash ensures the store menu(s) meet their standards by checking operating hours, items, and content. If the menu passes QA, the integration will be ready for activation.

Once DoorDash has completed the store QA, you can activate the integration directly in Business Manager

  • Click on the Profile Icon in the top right corner and select Settings

Select Locations from the left side menu.

  • You will now see the store you just connected to DoorDash in a “Not Activated” state

Click on the three dots, next to the store status and select Activate.

  • Note:
    • If the "Activate" button is not an available option, please reach out to Otter Support to fully activate your Doordash integration.

If the activation is successful, the store will be marked as Activated

  • You may need to Refresh the window to see the store status update

On the Settings page, go to Integrations > Explore.

  • Search for Doordash and select "Connect"

If the option appears to select either an Existing or New account:

Select Create a New Brand to create a net new brand for your organization.

  • Select "Merge with Existing Brand" if you plan to merge your current brand with Otter.

  • DoorDash is now in progress for the store QA.
