If you do not see the SKU Library tab within your Menus app in the Otter Dashboard, it is not currently available for your account. We’re hoping to bring this feature to all Otter customers soon— so keep an eye out!
Overview
SKU library is a centralized place within the Otter Dashboard to manage reusable item SKUs at the organization level. Instead of duplicating the same product across menus and brands— You can create, search, filter, and edit SKUs once, then link menu and modifier items to those SKUs.
Shared product details such as dietary information, nutrition, barcodes, and product tags stay in one place and synced across linked items.
Item-level fields like name, description, price, and photo pre-fill from the SKU but can be edited per menu item.
From SKU Library, you can:
- Browse all SKUs in a searchable, filterable table with customizable columns.
- Create SKUs or automatically create SKUs when building menu items.
- Edit SKU-level details such as name, default price, SKU code, description, photo, and shared product details.
- View SKU usage across menu items, modifier items, brands, and locations.
- Link menu and modifier items to existing SKUs when creating or editing menu entities.
- Bulk edit linked menu items when SKU-level changes are needed and copied to related items.
