Uber Eats Self-Serve Onboarding Guide

Summary

Follow this guide to connect your Uber Eats account to Otter! Once your account is connected, you will be able to: accept Uber Eats orders using Otter, manage your Uber Eats Menu using Otter, and use Otter’s products like Marketing or Reputation Management to manage your digital business.

What do you need

To connect your Uber Eats account with Otter, you will need to provide your login details, allowing us to integrate the two platforms:

  • Uber Eats Restaurant Manager Username 
  • Uber Eats Restaurant Manager Password 
  • The 2-Factor Authentication (2FA) Code*

*a 2-step security verification code is a four-digit pin that will be sent to either the email address or phone number associated with your Uber Eats account. If you are unable to access this 2-factor code, Otter cannot successfully integrate your account.

How to connect Uber Eats 

Uber Eats can be easily connected directly in the Otter Dashboard by following the steps below.

Step Process

4 Search for Uber Eats and click on the Connect button chrome-capture-2024-5-1 (3).png

6 Enter the credentials for your Uber Eats Restaurant Manager Account and click Continue. chrome-capture-2024-5-1 (5).png
7 Enter the 2FA security verification code and click Continue.

8 If a Uber Eats Authorization pop-up window appears:
Follow the on-screen instructions from Uber Eats, which may include:
  • Completing 2-Factor Authentication.
  • Using Social Login (Google, Facebook, or Apple).
  • Resetting your password, if necessary.
Once authorization is completed, you will need to Authorize Otter to “Manage” your Uber Eats orders. If you are planning on using Otter to accept and manage orders, always select Yes to this option.
Note: Your selection is very important here! Orders can only be accepted and managed using Otter if you select Yes to this option. Without authorization, you will still be able to collect order data using Otter, but orders cannot be accepted on our platform.
If authorization fails for any reason, contact a member of our Support team.

Choose the Uber Eats brand you want to merge with your brand in your Otter profile from the drop-down list.

Click on Continue.

Using the checkboxes, select the Uber Eats locations you wish to connect.

Ensure the store addresses match, then click on Connect location.

To manage orders, check the box to authorize Otter to manage your Uber Eats orders and click Manage location.


Note: Your selection is very important here! Orders can only be accepted and managed using Otter if you select Yes to this option. Without authorization, you will still be able to collect order data using Otter, but orders cannot be accepted on our platform.
