Overview

Having a strong understanding of how to access and update the settings for Direct Orders is key to success with this solution. Use this guide to walk customers through the process of configuring the Direct Orders platform and its related features. 

Process

Update Settings in Direct Orders for All Stores

Step # Actions  Additional Info. 
1 Log into Otter Dashboard.   
2 From the Apps menu in the top-left of the screen, select Direct Orders  
3 On the Your Brands page, click the Settings button in the top-right. You'll be brought to the Organization settings for all brands page. The Settings button is marked by the word "Settings" and a gear icon. 
4 In the Organization settings for all brands page, choose either the Pickup, Delivery, or Dine-in tab. NOTE: Changes made to the Settings here apply across all of your brands and stores!
5 In the selected tab, scroll down to the section that contains the information you'd like to update.  
6 Make updates to a certain section by entering text, selecting an option, or switching the position of a toggle.   
7 Once you're satisfied with your changes, click the blue Save button in the top-right corner of your screen. Your Settings have been updated!

3 On the Your Brands page, click the View Stores button under the brand you'd like to enable tips for.  
4 On the chosen brand's page, click the Settings button for the store you'd like to update.  
5 In the store's Settings page, select either the Location Details, Pickup, Delivery, or Dine-in tab. Changes made here will only affect this store.
6 In the selected tab, scroll down to the section that contains the information you'd like to update. To update certain settings for individual stores, the tab's respective Override settings must be switched on. 
7 Make updates to a certain section by entering text, selecting an option, or switching the position of a toggle.   
8 Once you're satisfied with your changes, click the blue Save button in the top-right corner of your screen. Your Settings have been updated!

Q: Which settings apply for Online Ordering, and which apply for Digital Dine-in?

A: The settings listed under the Location Details, Delivery, and Pickup tabs apply for Online Ordering, and the settings listed under Dine-in apply for Digital Dine-in.

Q: When are setting updates published to my stores?

A: Immediately! You'll see your Direct Orders stores updated instantly after you click the Save button on a Settings screen.

Q: Can I manage my Direct Orders coupons through this process?

A: No. You'll need to use the Manage discounts button on the Your Brands page to control your stores' coupons, vouchers, and offers.
