Kitchens often experience high-demand periods where orders come in rapidly. Busy Mode, an Order Manager feature, is designed to manage these surges by allowing temporary adjustments to prep times without requiring bulk changes. This flexibility ensures that orders are prepared and delivered on time, even during peak periods.
Busy Mode offers a way to address sudden demand by temporarily extending prep times per order, enabling smooth kitchen operations without a complete reset of standard prep times.
Activating Busy Mode
When extra prep time is needed during peak periods, Busy Mode can be quickly enabled for seamless operations. Follow this step-by-step guide to activate it:

1. | Log into the Order Manager website. | |
2. | Select the House Icon in the upper right-hand corner to open the storefront menu. | |
3. | At the bottom of the screen, select the 'Busy, need more prep time' button. | |

Use the slider to add additional prep time to all orders. For example, adding 10 minutes to a default prep time of 10 minutes will set each order to a 20-minute prep time temporarily. |

Choose a timeframe from the dropdown menu labeled "A timer will be set to change your status back in…".
Note: The system will automatically revert to the default prep time after this period.

6. | Click Done to save and activate Busy Mode. |
